CATL Shenxing Super-Fast Charging Battery

With an energy density exceeding 205 Wh/kg, this battery offers a range of over 1000 kilometers. A 10-minute charge provides a range of up to 600 kilometers.

CATL Shenxing battery, the world’s first 4C supercharging lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, was introduced in August 2023, designed to excel in fast charging performance. It delivers a range of up to 700 kilometers and supports a 10-minute charge for a range of 400 kilometers. This battery has already entered mass production and has been installed in vehicles this year. The newly released Shenxing PLUS is an upgraded version, offering enhanced range and improved fast-charging capabilities.

According to Gao Huan, Chief CTO of CATL’s Passenger Vehicle Division, four models equipped with the Shenxing battery have already been launched. In 2024, CATL plans to collaborate with vehicle manufacturers to introduce over 50 new models featuring the Shenxing battery.
