875 Units Foton Mini-trucks to be Exported to Chile

On March 30, a total of 875 units Foton TM mini-trucks completed their assembly in Foton’s factory in Shandong province. According to Foton, they will soon be shipped to Chile for operation.

The gasoline powered Foton TM mini-truck holds the largest market share in Foton. The export of the newly assembled mini-trucks is set to further strengthening its presence in the South American country.

So far, Foton’s sales volume has already exceeded 9.99 million units. The company is now working against to clock to increase its total sales volume to ten million units and it is going to be the first commercial vehicle brand to accomplish such a feat in just 25 years.

Boasting a series of advanced technologies, a wide spectrum of products and innovative business models, Foton is committed to providing the whole package of environmentally friendly transportation solutions for its global customers. Currently, its fossil fueled vehicles powered by Cummins engines + ZF automatic transmission gearboxes, electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles fully meet customers’ varied demands for passenger and cargo transportation.

In 2020, Foton sold 680,000 units vehicles, up by 26% year on year. In the same year, its export volume exceeded 40,000 units, ranking the first place in China’s commercial vehicle industry for the tenth consecutive year. Despite COVID-19, it delivered 215 units new energy buses to Chile, becoming the leading brand in Chilean new energy vehicle market.
