Foton- Two New Factories Opens Next Year in Brazil

www.chinatrucks.com : Reporter learned from Foton auto that, the company signed an agreement with Cummins in Brazil involving commercial vehicle project. The two parties vowed to deepen cooperation in Brazil in terms of manufacturing-localization and supporting system. According to the plan, Foton will see two KD factories go into operation by the end of the next year, with one for light duty trucks and another for pickup-manufacturing. Both factories will be customers for Cummins.
Foton and Cummins ventured in a engine company in China in 2008, which produces 400,000 engines annually with the ability to produce engines of EURO V and EURO VI standards.
