www.chinatrucks.com: After going through the “pan-like” situation in 2012, the medium & heavy-duty truck industry bottomed out at the end of this year and remained sluggish. According to DFCV business express, the company sold 14,000 medium and heavy-duty trucks in November and nearly 170,000 units in the first 11 months, remaining ahead in the industry.

Amid the depression of the heavy-duty truck segment heavily affected by the macro economy, DFCV sold over 9,000 heavy-duty trucks in November, up 13 percent month on month, opening the finale with performance superior to the industry level. In total sales, DFCV sold up to 115,000 heavy-duty trucks in the first 11 months, showing signs of share increase and enjoying a safe lead in the segment. Over the year since its launch, New KINLAND has been highly acclaimed and sold well owing to its superior safety, economy and environmental friendliness, thus becoming a benchmark in the heavy-duty truck industry.
Despite the industry plunge, DFCV’s medium-duty truck operations have been steady. As DFCV’s traditional superior segment, medium-duty truck contributed over 4,700 units in November, up 7 percent month on month, and over 50,000 units in the first 11 months, thus further consolidating DFCV’s role as a value benchmark in the medium-duty truck field.
While keeping ahead at home, DFCV has been steadily advancing its overseas distribution. In Southeast Asia, DFCV won the “Award for Best Emerging Brands” from Malaysia’s New Straits News due to its outstanding quality and reputation, fully showing the support for and trust in Dongfeng series from the overseas market.
Facing the severe market situation, while stepping up efforts to advance the strategic plan of globalization, DFCV is taking swift actions. On one hand, it pertinently shores up its business segments, customer-oriented product competitiveness enhancement and marketing campaigns; on the other hand, it furthers control costs and increases operation efficiency in the company. After long-term accumulation since the establishment of the joint venture, DFCV’s whole value chain, including management capacity, mature commodity platform and rich product line, has taken on a healthy trend. DFCV is striving to create new competitive edge in market changes.
