August 26,2024

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has announced it will display a full range of power solutions to support truck manufacturers as the industry heads toward new Euro 7 and EU CO2 HDV regulations. Cummins’ display is located in Hall 19/20, Booth A22.
Taking place from 17-22 September in Hannover, Germany, visitors to the Cummins booth at IAA Transportation will see a range of power solutions, including an advanced diesel engine with a Euro 7-ready aftertreatment system, a zero-carbon hydrogen engine, and battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell technologies from Accelera™ by Cummins. The company will also display a wide range of powertrain technologies, including rear drive axles, e-axles and brakes in what will be its most comprehensive power technology showcase so far.

Jennifer Rumsey, Chair and CEO of Cummins, said:

“As the commercial vehicle industry in Europe moves closer to Euro 7 and CO2 HDV regulations, power technology decisions become tougher and more complex. We’re focused on delivering a broad range of industry-leading power solutions that reduce tailpipe and greenhouse gas emissions today, while delivering the performance, reliability and total cost of ownership our customers and the wider transportation industry need to run their businesses.

These power solutions highlight Cummins’ commitment to its Destination Zero strategy, which seeks to advance engine-based technologies while expanding zero-emissions offerings and our wider powertrain capability. This approach enables our industry to match technology availability with infrastructure readiness, while ensuring our OEM customers can approach upcoming European regulations practically, flexibly and with multiple options.”

A key highlight will be Cummins’ powertrain display showcasing its extended product portfolio, including the Euro 7-ready X10, as well as an X15H hydrogen internal combustion engine. Both products will be displayed alongside the latest aftertreatment systems, Eaton-Cummins transmission, as well as Meritor® MIS-10 independent front suspension, 17X HE rear axle and ELSA 225 H air disc brakes. These technologies are designed to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce tailpipe emissions and improve vehicle performance in support of the industry’s transition toward Euro 7 and CO2 HDV regulations.

Cummins will also demonstrate its commitment to progressing the full hydrogen eco-system with its e-turbocharger, e-compressor, hydrogen recirculation pump, fuel cell injector and fuel cell ejector. These components aim to improve fuel cell efficiency, reduce noise and enhance reliability. In addition, the latest Type IV hydrogen fuel storage system from NPROXX, Cummins’ joint venture partnership with ETC, will be on display.

Along with the physical products, Cummins will present a virtual interactive display featuring valvetrain technologies, turbochargers, aftertreatments, dosers and axles. The interactive display provides a unique, hands-on experience allowing attendees to engage with cutting-edge products and technologies in an immersive manner.
