Great Wall Motor Gets 3,300-Pickup Order form Libya
July 24,2009
The order is of great importance when China exported only 61,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2009, slumping 62.06% year on year, according to the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
As the biggest pickup truck producer in China, Great Wall Motor has ranked first by sales and export for 11 years. It exported 4,500 pickups to Cuba last year.
Now, more than 160,000 pickups of the Chinese automaker have been sold in the global market. These products have become available in 128 countries and regions.
Great Wall Motor has still kept expanding its business worldwide these days. Earlier this year, an overseas marketing vice general manager of the Chinese automaker denied the saying that it would set up a joint-venture factory with the French auto titan Renault in Venezuela.
The vice general manager explained that Renault would not cooperation with Great Wall Motor, but a Venezuela-based dealer of Great Wall Motor.
