CHINA -- GAC HINO is scheduled to launch the new 700 tractor head in August with a Dongfeng Cummins engine instead of the previous Hino engine as surveys show that Cummins has a large market share in 480hp above heavy-duty trucks market and is favored by most customers for its power and reliability.
According to sources, GAC Hino tractor head model 700 will be equipped with a 13.5-liter, 480/560hp Dongfeng Cummins Z14 engine that produces a maximum torque of 2650N.m. It has gone through 15 million kilometers of test and offers world leading reliability. Moreover, the fuel economy and lightweighting technologies, including efficient combustion and the integrated, modular and simplified design used in Dongfeng Cummins Z14 engine, are at the technological forefront in today's market pursuing for efficient transportation.
As of now, both sides have conducted rigorous tests and precise tuning on the Cummins engine to ensure that they meet GAC Hino's quality control standards. In the future, GAC Hino and Cummins will work together to provide more comprehensive and reliable solutions to meet the needs of customers in China's ever-changing logistics market.
